How to trace a lost pension?

We have helped many pension scheme members to consider what their options are and whether taking a scheme income or (in a small number of cases), whether a transfer may be right for them.  If you do decide to transfer into a “drawdown” arrangement, you may be able to choose to:

Firstly you need to get in touch. Sadly, we cannot help you if you don’t ask!

• Ask you for any ideas where to start, maybe you remember the name of an old company that no longer exists – we know who “took over” their business!
• Ask you to remember old employers, taking their details
• We know what pension providers worked with which companies (we have an extensive list that is not publicly available)
• We can then use the above to call them directly on your behalf
• Your adviser will email you a “letter of authority”. This is a letter “to whom it concerns” which allows us to approach pension companies for you and locate them
• Upon receipt of the letter, we will then complete the leg work and get those pensions traced!
• You will receive basic details of your pensions, including where they are in writing with no strings attached!

Once the investigations are completed, you can then decide what to do. Once we have amazed you with our expertise, we hope you may consider becoming a client of ours, its as simple as that. If not, we would appreciate a review on the internet and you are free to make your own arrangements.
